The Gonzales Police Department has identified the victim as 22-year-old Jarrus Mitchell of Prairieville. He remains in critical condition

Authorities are investigating an overnight shooting that sent a woman to the hospital. According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, the shooting occurred in the 700 block of W. Shreveport Fire Department is investigating after an 18-wheeler caught fire along Interstate 20 Friday morning. It happened around 10:30 a.m. in at I-20 westbound near the Pines Road exit, according to 911 dispatch records.
