Police say a 17-year-old Louisiana boy has been charged in connection with the death of a woman. According to a Lafayette police release, the teenager was arrested and charged with second-degree murder of Marisha M. Felix.

A man is dead after an early morning shooting. Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department confirm that the incident happened around 4:40 a.m. Friday. The victim was shot at a home located in the 5700 block of St. Gerard Ave.
Police have arrested a man they say shot someone in the head. In November of last year, the victim was walking in the 5600 block of St. Gerard when he was approached by a man later identified as 30-year-old Kentron Smith. According to the affidavit, the victim knew Smith because the two had an agreement to breed their dogs together.
