The former Kenner High School building was heavily damaged and may be a total loss after an overnight fire, officials said. Bilello was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Louisiana 450 about 9 a.m. Sunday when he lost control while going around a left-hand curve, according to State Trooper Dustin Dwight. Police are investigating an armed robbery in City Park. An initial report from police said the robbery happened shortly before 1 a.m. Police said an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were sitting on a bench near the Morning Call in City Park when two men approached demanding their property. When the man said they didn't have anything, one of the robbers reportedly put a gun to the woman's back and demanded the man's cell phone.
Bossier City firefighters are investigating after flames damaged a pawn shop Friday morning. The fire was called in just before 5:30 a.m. at the Cash America Pawn in the 3100 block of East Texas Street, according to Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale. Firefighters had to force their way into the pawn shop to battle the blaze and located the fire and managed to extinguish it within several minutes.

The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed one of its officers was injured Sunday night in an apparent shooting and a suspect has been taken into custody. BRPD identified the suspect as Eugene Thomas Jr., 34, of Baton Rouge.

One person is dead and another behind bars following a shooting at the WalMart in the 9500 block of Mansfield Road. The shooting happened around 12:45 Friday morning. The two men were involved in a heated argument. During the exchange, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other.
