Baton Rouge: A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle died shortly after being taken to the hospital. The driver who caused the crash is wanted by police. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Derrick Dewayne Gardner, 42, of Baker, was hit Thanksgiving Day at roughly 4:30 p.m. It happened in the 5800 block of Evangeline Street.
St. Claude: A man was shot to death Thursday night at Gallier and North Claiborne streets in St. Claude, according to the NOPD. New Orleans police reported the homicide at 10:07 p.m. Police later reported officers responded to the shooting at 9:27 p.m.

Gretna: A shooting on Wednesday afternoon left one man injured. According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred around 6 p.m. at 405 Lapalco Boulevard.
New Orleans: Detectives are investigating a murder in the 2300 block of St. Anthony Street. Police say that they got the call of a man shot at that location aroun 11:55 Monday night. When they arrived, they say that they found a man who had been shot multiple times. He died at the scene.

Marrero: Deputies say one man was killed after a shooting in Marrero early Monday morning. According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 1:13 a.m. near the 5400 block of West Bank Expressway and Saddler Road.

Baton Rouge: Authorities arrested a man they say set his ex-girlfriend's mother's car on fire after he was not able to visit with the couple's child. The incident took place on Aug. 8 at a residence on Leafwood Avenue.
The NOPD is looking for a man they say kidnapped a woman and held her against her will last night. The kidnapping occurred just after 8 a.m. on November 15, according to initial reports by the NOPD. Thirty-one-year-old Jonathan JN-Marie showed up at the unidentified 25-year-old woman’s home in the 1200 block of South Dorgenois Street and grabbed her by the arm and by her clothing.
